Each year we go on a number of performance and/or educationally oriented trips. Below are some of our past excursions.

Fun on the run!

Past Trips

Concert Choir & Variety Choir:

  • Boston, MA
    - Took Private tour of Fenway Park
    - Saw Sheer Madness, interactive show
    - Rode Duck Tours
    - Six Flags Amusement Park
    - Hotel dinner/dance party
    - Excellent ratings for all 3 choirs!!!
    - Concert Choir cam in 1st place out of 5 choirs!
    - Men's Choir came in 2nd and Variety Choir came in 3rd, each in different categories with some solid competition!
  • Disney World, FL
    - Had an amazing time in the Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, The Animal Kingdom, MGM Studios and we even squeezed in a water park!
    - Both the Concert and Variety Choirs had successful adjudications at Festival Disney!
  • Baltimore, MD
    - Six Flags Amusement Park
    - Visited Baltimore Inner Harbor
    - Gillian's, IMAX movie, Hard Rock Cafe, and much more!
    - Heritage Music Adjudication
    - Formal Dinner, DJ dance party, & award ceremony at The Marriott ("Excellent" rating for Concert Choir, and "Superior" for Variety Choir -
    our best rating ever!!!)
  • Virginia Beach, VA
    - Bush Gardens Amusement Park
    - Go Carts Plus Amusement Park
    - Pizza DJ Nighttime Cruise
    - Festivals of Music competition (won 2nd place)!

  • Williamsburg, VA
    - Bush Gardens Amusement Park
    - Colonial Williamsburg Ghost Tour
    - Pizza DJ Nighttime Cruise
    - Festivals of Music competition (won 2nd place)!

  • Dorny Park, PA
    - Wild Water Kingdom Amusement Park
    - Music In The Parks Competition (won 2nd place and trophy for best student accompanist)

Some of the other smaller trips sporadically throughout the year include Christmas caroling and singing at various places such as:

  • Old Westbury Gardens
  • Nursing homes
  • District Middle School
  • Many more!

Mixed Chorus:

Each year the Mixed Chorus goes on a day trip. Past itineraries have included:

  • Trip to New York City
    - Tour of Lincoln Center
    - Museum Of Natural History
    - Sony IMAC 3-D movie
    - Shopping at Tower Records (or)
    - Shopping at Barnes and Noble (or)
    - Shopping at FAO Schwartz
    - Theater Workshop
    - Dinner at a theme restaurant such as The Hard Rock Cafe or Planet Hollywood
    - A Broadway show

  • "A Day With the Stars"
    - Interactive theatre workshops at The Uniondale Marriott with Broadway stars from "The Lion King", "Kiss Me Kate", and more!
    - "Whose Line is it Anyway" style improvisation
    - Gourmet style lunch
    - Performance by, and question & answer session with, Simba from the "Lion King"
